A newlywed interracial couple joyfully walk through colourful confetti at their Wellbeing Farm Wedding

If you’re planning a wedding at The Wellbeing Farm in Bolton, you’ll enjoy this wedding!

Monifa and Dan got married at The Wellbeing Farm, which is a B Corp-certified farm in Bolton with countryside views. It was a beautiful day, even though the sun never made an appearance!

The First Look

In case you don’t know what a first look is, it’s when the couple decides to see each other for the first time before the ceremony. Sometimes it’s just them and their photographer, sometimes there are a few members of the wedding party there too. It’s a lovely way of making your outfit reveal a little more private while also getting some natural photos of you together. Monifa and Dan opted to have their first look right outside the Wellbeing Farms farmhouse, where Monifa had got ready. They didn’t do any posed photos; instead, they just spent a few minutes admiring each other before walking to their ceremony together.

The ceremony

The ceremony was a beautiful service in the wedding barn. They decorated the area with a beautiful arch covered in seasonal wildflowers and greenery. They entered the ceremony together, kept the service short but sweet, and exited the ceremony accompanied by a live steel pan band! It was great fun and a lovely personal touch. Weddings at The Wellbeing Farm are amazing, because it’s got such a great atmosphere!

The afternoon

They spent the afternoon enjoying drinks and canapes on the grounds of The Wellbeing Farm. Their guests got to pet and walk the on-site llamas, sheep and alpacas, as well as being entertained by a magician that had everyone captivated! For dinner, they had a three-course meal. They opened the dancefloor with a first dance that was a fun routine, and I think it’s safe to say that everyone (including me) was impressed!

The couple

Monifa wore a stunning corseted dress with off-the-shoulder bell sleeves and layers of tulle, finishing her look with some comfy white trainers. Dan wore A blue three-piece suit with a contrasting cream waistcoat and red tie to add complementary colours, and a personalised pocket watch. They looked amazing and totally themselves. As their guests headed into dinner, we took some time to have some couples portraits outside. Embracing the slightly grey day and making the most of the countryside views.

Why The Wellbeing Farm is a great place to get married

The Wellbeing Farm has a really laid-back vibe and is one of the most sustainable places to get married in the North West. The venue offers locally sourced seasonal food, on-site bow-tied llamas, and loads of outdoor space to play with. I love this venue because so unique and quirky, and there are some great spots that are perfect for photos.
