Ardington House Wedding Previews |Rhiannon & Josh

July 24, 2019

A Georgous summer wedding in the Oxfordshire countryside.

Rhiannon & Josh’s Ardington house wedding was a beaut! I started the cloudy morning photographing Rhiannon and her bridesmaids getting ready in one of the lovely bedrooms of the main house. The room was super busy, with everyone doing their own hair and makeup at the same time, until it was time for Rhiannon to get into her gorgeous Caroline Castigliano dress with her mum and niece helping.

The original plan for Rhiannon & Josh’s wedding was for them to have an outdoor ceremony on the little island on the river, but the British Weather had other ideas. Rhiannon & Josh’s friends and family decided to brave the drizzle armed with umbrellas until the heavens opened up and everyone was ushered back indoors. Luckily they had a rainy weather plan and the ceremony took place in the entrance hall of Ardington house. With everyone standing inside it felt far more intimate and informal than a sit-down ceremony and made it even better when everyone had an enthusiastic sing-along to ‘All You Need Is Love”!

The sun came out just in time for Rhiannon & Josh to get covered in confetti by their family and friends on the front lawn, and it stuck around for the rest of the day! We decided to make up for the fact that they couldn’t have their ceremony on the little island so we did their portrait session their instead, and it didn’t disappoint!

After dinner, everyone laughed and cried their way through the speeches before hitting the dancefloor and throwing some shapes to the sounds of the Electric Groove wedding band.

Check out their previews!
