An Elegant Wedding at Bourne & Hollingsworth Buildings
If you’re planning a wedding at Bourne and Hollingsworth Buildings in London then this stylish wedding will give you some great inspo!
Getting Ready
Chris & Rich both got ready at the Zetter townhouse, a quirky, colourful boutique hotel, just a short walk from Bourne and Hollingsworth Buildings. With their wedding party and both mums spread out across a few rooms, it was a busy, vibrant morning. Emma Kim Hair and the Tom Ford make up team did an excellent job of making everyone look super glam. The grooms both looked amazing in elegant Gieves & Hawkes suits with plush velvet jackets and bow ties.
The Ceremony
The ceremony was a lovely service at a local town hall. Both Chris and Rich walked down the aisle accompanied by their mums to the sound of a harp. It was a beautiful entrance and Chris’s mum even shed a few tears as she walked him in. During the ceremony they had several beautiful readings from friends and family. It was really emotional. After the ceremony we took a few moments to make the most of the town halls beautiful art deco features in a quick portrait session before heading out to be covered in confetti, followed group photos on stairs while we waited for a coach to collect us.
Why Bourne and Hollingsworth Buildings is a great place for a wedding!
Bourne and Hollingsworth Buildings has a really laid-back vibe, and is definitely one of the coolest places to celebrate getting married in London. The venue offers seriously good food (and cocktails) – and there some lovely spots outside that are perfect for photos. I love this venue because It is beautifyly styled, flooded with light and full of plants. Weddings at Bourne and Hollingsworth Buildings are amazing, because the staff are wonderful and it has such a great atmosphere.
The Reception
I arrived at B&H before any of the guests and was blown away with how beautifully the florist had decorated everything! Blume Studio created a gorgeous splash of pink amongst the leafy greens of this amazing venue. As everyone else made their way inside I took Chris and Rich outside for some couples portraits in the last of the golden light. Chris had managed to get one of the flags outside to be changed to represent the Irish contingent, which was a great personal touch.
Cocktails were followed by some beautiful emotional speeches (i may have shed a tear or two), and a hilarious joint speech from the best people, they even managed to convince Rich to do a quick dance to Steps’s ‘Tragedy’! The stylish couple then had their first dance to Sweet Disposition ( a song I love), before everyone including a few spice girls joined them on the dance floor! It was the best (and last) party of 2020!
