Best of 2017!
Creative documentary wedding photography – Best of 2017
I’m not sure about you, but to me, 2017 feels like it was ages ago! Going back through all of the images from the weddings I shot last year was like stepping into a time machine and getting to re-live the joy all over again. I got to witness one of my oldest and bestest friends get married! I got to know loads of lovely couples, eat lots of yummy cake and have some fun on a few dancefloors. 2017 involved a lot of travelling around the UK, from the gorgeous Llyn Peninsula in Wales to the sandy beaches of Cornwall, and a whole lot of adventures in between! I’ve shot weddings in barns, churches, working farms, open fields, town halls, hotels, universities, warehouses and even a cinema. All of them were full of fun, personality, and above all Love! I probably explored more of the UK last year than I ever had before (I’m not really a staycation kinda girl) and I am so grateful that I have a job that allows me to have such wonderful experiences in new places. I have to say a massive thank you to all of the wonderful couples that made 2017 so incredibly good!
I also got to spend lots of time getting to know some amazingly talented photographers, and I feel like I have grown as a photographer because of this. I spent a few days in a lovely house in North Yorkshire, getting creative and soaking up some knowledge at the Goal Diggers Retreat, a sunny day in Brighton getting some business insight at Photography Farm and few days by the Lake District catching up with friends and pitching a workshop at the SNAP reunion. I also had an amazing, unique same-sex wedding featured on Rock ‘n’ Roll Bride!
2018 has a lot in store. Early in Jan I packed up my things and headed up north, making the jump from being a Londoner to being a Manchester wedding photographer, which is pretty exciting as I now have a new(ish) city to explore! I’ve also got some awesome weddings booked in this year for both the UK and abroad. I still have some availability left for 2018 and I’ve opened up my books for 2019 so if you’re looking for a wedding photographer I’d love to hear from you.
So, here it is folks, all of the lovely little (and big!) moments of 2017’s fun-filled weddings squeezed into one feel good slideshow. Grab a cup of tea, get cosy, hit play and bask in the awesomeness that was 2017!
