What to Expect & FAQ’s

When/ How do we book?

ASAP! I take bookings up to 18 months in advance and May to October is my busiest period so if your wedding falls in that time you’ll wanna get in there quickly! I can’t reserve the date until I’ve received the 20% reservation fee and a signed contract. I’m not a meanie though, if you’re super keen but not quite ready to book I’ll make a note of your date and let you know if anyone else enquires so you can have first dibs.

How many images will I receive/ how will my images be delivered?

This totally depends on the amount of coverage and how busy your day is. But on average you can expect to receive around 50 edited images per hour of coverage. They’ll all be delivered via a password-protected online gallery that will remain online for 12 months. You’ll be able to download and print straight from the gallery and you can easily share with all your friends and family.

How long will you spend on our couples portraits?

I typically do two 10-15min sessions on a full day, so that you get a little down time together as well as plenty of time with your guests.

Do you photograph formal family/group photos?

Yep, but I like to keep it short and sweet. I always ask for a list of around 5 -10 because I’d rather be taking natural photos of you and your loved ones and you’d rather be making memories. Plus you can grab me at any time for an informal photograph with a friend or family member.

My cousin/bestie/uncle is a budding photographer, can they take pics too?

Of course they can! However, I’m not responsible for missing shots if over enthusiastic uncles with Ipads get in the way. I recommend having an unplugged ceremony, which just means that everyone puts their phones/cameras/ipads away during the ceremony, they can focus on you, and I can focus on getting beautiful photos of everyone.

Are you available for destination weddings?

Hell Yeah! I love to travel, I’m always up for an adventure and get super excited when my work gives me the opportunity to explore new places. Get in touch for a personal quote if you’re planning a wedding outside of the UK.

Are you insured?

Yep, I am fully insured (I have both public liability and professional indemnity insurance) and I wouldn’t dream of shooting without it!

Who owns the copyright?

The copyright remains with me, but the final images are yours to share with friends and family, plaster all over social media and print to your heart’s content. You can’t sell the images or have them published without my permission.

We're super awkward in front of the camera, can you help us?

Don’t worry, I make my couples portraits all about the two of you connecting with each other. I’ll get you relaxed, we’ll play a few games, crack a few jokes and before you know it you’ll be heading back to your guests. Weddings can be super busy so lots of couples end up really enjoying having that time to themselves. If you’re super nervous about being photographed why not book in a facetime portrait session.

Are you a magnificent Photoshop wizard that can make me taller/shorter/thinner/more muscular/give me voluminous hair and perfect skin?

You don’t need photoshop, you are perfect as you are. Nuff said!

What happens after the wedding?

I get busy editing! You might even find a couple of sneak peeks in your inbox a few days later. I aim to get your photos to you 10-12 weeks after your big day during peak season

Do you only do wedding photography?

Nope! I absolutely love photographing people and also offer creative portrait photography. Check out my portfolio!
