Danielle and Isaac’s Dreamy December 100 Barrington Wedding | London Winter Wedding Photography
Danielle and Isaac’s winter wedding photography was all kinds of dreamy to do, for so many reasons. Their 100 Barrington wedding was at an amazing South London venue, with all the best style, with the loveliest people who brought all the vibes – what’s not to love?!
100 Barrington wedding venue
Danielle and Isaac had chosen an 100 Barrington wedding because it was the perfect space for the stylish but relaxed vibe that they wanted. Originally a furniture factory, 100 Barrington still has the original brickwork, high ceilings, exposed beams and open floor plan from the 1800s, with some chic, contemporary additions too.
Essentially it’s a good-looking blank canvas to make your own, which is exactly what Danielle and Isaac did. They mostly let the venue do the talking, choosing a colour palette that reflected the colours that were already there: sage and dark greens, as well as toffee-coloured flowers that matched the wood.
Unplugged humanist ceremony
Danielle and Isaac kept the decor stripped back and simple for their ceremony too, with only a large neon heart decorating the top of the aisle.
The ceremony itself was humanist, led by Justine of Holdfast Ceremonies. It was so perfectly personal, down to every last detail: Danielle and Isaac even had a playing card from a pack of question cards they’d used to get to know each other on one of their early dates. They’d saved this mystery card to be asked during the ceremony, so there was a lot of anticipation – but luckily it ended up being something very gentle, and they were both relieved!
They also chose an unplugged ceremony, to make sure everyone was totally present. All of the guests had their phones sealed into bags, with only a pre-selected few allowed to access them. This meant everyone was fully locked into the ceremony, and you could feel it in the room (plus, look how great this winter wedding photography looks with no phones in it!)
Courtyard confetti and golden hour portraits
Another amazing thing about an 100 Barrington wedding is that it has a private courtyard through the back, so we got to do a confetti throw outside! Danielle and Isaac’s guests really understood the assignment, so there was absolutely shedloads of confetti thrown for an incredibly joyous moment.
After group portraits on the covered terrace, I whisked Danielle and Isaac off for some couple’s portraits. (Something to think about with winter wedding photography is that golden hour will come a lot earlier than in the summer – say, 4pm as opposed to 9pm!) We went for a stroll around the nearby streets, where there was a host of different artworks that made the perfect backdrops. Considering it was December, the weather was lovely, but Danielle brought a fluffy white jacket with her just in case!
A hogless roast
During this time the brilliant 100 Barrington wedding team, as well as Danielle and Isaac’s wedding planner Cherelle from Perfectly Planned 4 You, had transformed the ceremony space into the reception space. They’d replaced the horseshoe chair arrangement with long trestle tables set with dark green napkins and vases of beautiful roses lining the centre.
This was to be the site of their wedding feast, which was provided by The Hogless Roast and, as the name might suggest, totally vegan! It was also the setting of their wonderful speeches, including one from Danielle’s uncle who’d walked her down the aisle and another Isaac’s best men (yep plural! It was a team effort.).
Outfit change for the dancefloor
By now, you’ll know that Danielle and Isaac are a stylish af couple – and they proved this yet again when they took to the dancefloor for their first dance and treated everyone to a second round of incredible outfits! Danielle changed her full-skirted Eliza Jane Howell dress for a slinky halterneck Coast jumpsuit, whilst Isaac changed his green suit for an oversized check jacket, t-shirt and trainers. They both wore chunky glasses to complete the look, which looked incredible on the 100 Barrington wedding dancefloor.
The Ritzy
I never wanted to leave Danielle and Isaac’s 100 Barrington wedding – they were having so much fun, and I was loving capturing it all! However, there was one last place I needed to visit: The Ritzy cinema, just down the road. As huge film buffs, they’d had the sign on The Ritzy changed to a Star Wars quote, so it read “I love you / I know / Congratulations on your wedding Danielle and Isaac”. I had to snap a picture before heading home!
Winter wedding photography
Sure, I love a summer wedding, but I also adore winter wedding photography – the temperature can be as low as you like when your guests are bringing all the joy and the warmth! There’s something particularly cosy about winter weddings, and I definitely felt the love at Danielle and Isaac’s – so thank you for having me, guys, it was a blast.
But you don’t just take my word for it! Here’s what they had to say about having me as their photographer…
“Thank you so much for this incredible gallery! We’ve been overwhelmed with how beautifully you’ve captured our day, and we’re taking our time to fully absorb all of the amazing memories that you’ve captured for us. We’re so pleased that we found you! The way you make these still images look like they are full of life is incredible; it feels like we’re watching a movie as we scroll through them. Thank you so so much!”
If you’re looking for someone to capture winter wedding photography for your day, I’d love to chat – you can get in touch here to tell me about your plans. Or maybe you’re planning a 100 Barrington wedding? Whatever you’ve got your heart set on currently, if you like what you see, I’d love to hear more about how we could work together!
